WHAT IS A CHICKEN NUGGET, ANYWAY???

   Having been fortunate enough to be raised in farm country, I consider myself somewhat of an expert, especially about chickens.  Not only have I been where they are raised, bred and butchered, but I have cooked chicken several ways.  I can honestly say "I have never seen a hen or a rooster sporting a "nugget."  If anyone from the USDA or FDA or the North Carolina Education Board can show me even one single chicken that has a "nugget" that is naturally connected to it's body, then I will apologise, retract and eat that particular nugget. 

  If I spent a couple of hours, I'm sure I could come up with several articles condemning the use and consumption of processed meat and poultry.  So, since when did the proverbial chicken nugget become health food?  Who, in their infinite wisdom decided that the chicken nugget belonged on the USDA list of healthy food for youngsters? 

  This entire healthy food ordeal brings into question, why is it now so imperative to provide a government designed lunch for the kindergartner?  Personally, I don't think a healthy lunch has anything to do with it.  I think this USDA school lunch menu and inspection is just another way for the government to take over raising your children.  Somewhere along the way, government decided that parenting ends with birth, then you give up your child to the government to raise as they see fit.  I also can't help but think that those folks out there who have opted to home school, be prepared for the government inspector to be knocking on your door too.  Actually, the way this government has been executing its assaults on "We The People", you may need to be expecting an entire "guns drawn, all out raid, with flash bangs, tear gas and a SWAT team storming your kitchen."  Don't be surprised if they raid your refrigerator while they're there, and confiscate any frozen pizzas you may have hidden in the freezer section!  They may suspect of wanting to feed them to the kids when nobody is looking.  I know this scenario sounds a little off the wall, but I'm telling you, the government has invaded homes for a lot less.  For example, according to a study by the Cato Institute that specializes in civil liberties, there have been possibly as many as 40,000 law enforcement para-military home invasions per year.  Most of these in the middle of the night, no warning, no warrant.  Many of these raids have resulted in many needless deaths of both innocent and guilty homeowners and some officers and even children.  Now, understand that most of these raids were initiated on the pretext that the homeowner was an armed law-breaker, i.e., drug dealer etc., etc.  However, most law-breakers were of the non-violent category and way too much innocent blood has been shed in these operations of government law enforcement agencies.  Just down the street where I live, a couple of years ago, the police raided the wrong house in the middle of the night, the homeowner thought it was criminal invasion, he fired in self defense, the he was killed by the law enforcement officers.  So, be aware, that if it becomes a law that feeding the government's children anything other than what the administration deems edible, your home could very well be invaded in the middle of the night, just like the scenario I described earlier.  Additionally, if anyone in your home is a registered gun owner, take extra precaution, because the police will shoot, that's for sure.  You may die, because you don't stock USDA approved chicken nuggets in your refer.

  Needless to say, the long arm of our government has gotten way, way too long!!!  Reaching into homes to control energy consumption, water consumption, now reaching into your home to determine if you'll be feeding the children that now belong to the state and federal governments, the properly prescribed diet.  Make no mistake, if this, another power grab of the Obama White House is allowed to continue.  Your children will NOT be your children anymore, they will be the children of the state, and you'll merely be guardians of federal property. 

  Sounds way to Orwellian for the United States of America, doesn't it?  Let me assure you, it is not.  By the year 2015 it is the plan to have thousands of unmanned spy drones in the skies spying on your every move.  Does that sound Orwellian?  It does to me too, but it is in the government's plan.  Do not make the mistake of thinking it can't happen, because it is happening, right here and right now.  Don't believe me, go ahead check the Dept. of Homeland Security website.

  Student lunches, control of education, control of health care, control of religion, control energy consumption, banking control, industrial and manufacturing control, automobile control.  I mean, look at "Progressive" ( Progressive, just another word for Communist) Insurance's new spy module you connect to your car, so they can determine how far, how fast and where you're driving.  All under the guise that if you are a good (little robot) driver, as determined by the electronic spy module, you'll get a break on your insurance premium.  I don't know about you, but I'm not willing to give up my personal privacy to save a $100.00 a year on an insurance premium!!!  You've seen their commercial, they make it sound fun, you even get to install the spy module yourself.  (useful idiots)

  We have been warned about all these things through Bible Prophecy, through men like George Orwell and C.S. Lewis, men who had a vision of the future, to them it may have been science-fiction, to us, in this age, it is reality.

EVERYONE LAUGHED AT HER THEN, WELL??? IT WASN'T FUNNY THEN AND IT ISN'T FUNNY NOW!!!

 


If there is one thing to be said of Nancy Pelosi, it's that she's got more guts than any two men in congress.  When she made her now famous announcement "We have to pass it to see what's in it."  referring to the Obama Care Bill, literally thousands of people laughed at her.  They said it'll never pass on that precept.  None of our Senators or Congressman would vote to pass a Bill without even reading it, or would they?  Oh, you bet they would, and they did.  A statement like Pelosi's was made because it was too ridiculous for anyone to pay much attention to.  That was just one of the ways Obama pulls the wool over the eyes of the people.  His ideas are so radical, so out of the ball park, then when he announces them, people applaud and smile, all the while thinking he can't do that, can he?  The next thing you know, he's already done it, and the people are left dumb-founded and wondering, when did that happen?  When Obama made the statement:  "We are only 5 days away from fundamentally transforming America."  Very few people actually caught the gist of what this President wanna-be actually said.  Except for a few talk show hosts like Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh, and maybe Sean Hannity, my wife and myself, only a portion of the electorate paid much attention.  Those that did were shaken as I was.  What did he mean "fundamentally transform America?"  Obama was smart enough to only use that line within 5 days of the election.  There wasn't enough time for those with the audience to dissect Obama's words, and get the true meaning disseminated to the viewing and listening public.  Even if they had succeeded in parsing Obama's actual intention, the roar of "we're electing the first black president!!!" ,would have certainly drowned out any warning coming from conservative radio and TV, or a blogger such as yours truly.  Obama's fundamentally transform America  statement may have been the first and last time he told the truth to the American people, and unfortunately very few heard it over the cheering crowd of Obama's adoring supporters.
  When Nancy Pelosi made her statement, she knew exactly what she was saying.  The American people would laugh it off as another foolish remark made by a foolish California nut case in the House of Representatives.  By now however, everyone should know that when Nancy Pelosi made her statement, she didn't know what was in the Obama Care Bill either.  The fact of the matter, no one in congress knew what was in the bill.  Why, how could they not know what what was in it, somebody had to know?  You are right.  Unfortunately, the reason Congress and the Senate didn't know what was in the bill, is because no one in our illustrious legislature wrote the bill.  That's why when asked about details of the Obama Care Bill, our Congressmen and Senators proceeded to dance that "little sidestep"  the one made famous in the movie "Best Little Whorehouse In Texas".  The mayor of the town played by Charles Durning even danced the "sidestep" to the song written about that "little side step".  It was an extremely funny, (perhaps a little racy) movie, but oh so profound and borderline prophetic, in a strange sort of way.
  For the benefit of those who still think Obama is inept and or naive in his actions, "NOW HEAR THIS":  Dateline: 12 Feb 2012.  Jack LEW the newly appointed White House Chief of Staff revealed the following about the Obama Care Bill:  "Obama Care allows the President to tell a private company they have to offer a product, and offer it for free."  You did hear that, right, right???   According to the "Affordable Care Act" (Obama Care), "The President has the authority under the Affordable Care Act to force a private company to provide a product free of charge."  Correct me if I'm wrong, but did any of us send elected legislators to D.C. with the instructions to "vote away our democratic republic"?  I know that thought never crossed my mind when I went into the voting booth!!!
  With the authority granted to the President under Obama Care, there are some very serious and far reaching ramifications and consequences still yet undiscovered.  Rest assured, Obama will make them known when they'll suit his purpose and agenda.  I can't help but wonder what else Obama had put into the Bill that had to be passed so we could see what was in it?  Let's make this clear, aside from those who were responsible for drafting and actually writing the "Affordable Care Act (Obama Care)" only Obama had additional input.  Still think poor old Obama is just in over his head?  Barack Obama is in league with, and is one of the most diabolical and cunning thinkers of this 21st century.  Do not sell him short!  He is in full control of his faculties and his ability to lie with a straight face, only enhances his deceptions and makes him more believable.  The Bible scripture warns us about men with his abilities.  If you haven't already, now is the time to heed those scriptural warnings.
  F.Y.I.  the basic draft for Obama Care was written by a man named Robert Creamer, a Chicago Banker convicted of fraud and doing hard time.  He is the husband of the farthest left congresswoman Jan Schakowsky.  Creamer wrote a book titled "Stand Up Straight- How Progressives Can Win" while he was doing time.  Basically is was a 628 page manual for "how to reshape one-sixth of the American economy, namely health care.  This book was hailed by David Axelrod (one of the President's men), Andrew Stern, president of SEIU, and of course Barack Hussein Obama.  In case you think I'm talking out my hat, allow me to reference www.americanthinker.com go to their archives link, then bring up October 31, 2010, you will find a very sobering and enlightening article written by Stella Paul.  
There were no elected congressmen or senators privy to the text, context or content of the "Affordable Care Act" (Obama Care).  
  So in their arrogant wisdom, or should I say stupidity, none of the Senators or Congressmen who voted for, or against, for that matter read the behemoth tome we now call the Obama Care Bill.  
  Some final points to ponder:
  If Obama Care is implemented, how many more surprises will Obama be able to pull from the proverbial hat?  
  Is there anything in the Obama Care Bill, (which by the way is now LAW), that will afford even more presidential power over the American economy and the American people?
  I think there are stipulations hidden throughout the Obama Care bill, that may just give Obama the ability to declare himself President forever, under the auspicious of, for the betterment of the national health and security.  If there isn't, I will be pleasantly surprised. 
  One must keep in mind, that no one knew that this bill gives the President the authority to dictate to private businesses that they be ordered to provide a product free of charge.  Nancy Pelosi spoke about this Bill like it was this great and wonderful surprise package, full of goodies for the good and dumbed down little sheeple of America.  Consequently, our elected representatives forced it down our throats.   This Obama Care surprise package is just beginning to be opened for the public eye.  In my mind there are still many violations of the Constitution to be revealed.

OBAMA'S NOT CONCERNED, I WONDER WHY?

What, me worry? 

  Has it occurred to anyone that Obama is not at all concerned about getting re-elected?  In recent days, every photograph of Obama shows him with an eerie look of peace and tranquility on his arrogant mug.  I can't help but wonder where his confidence comes from?  What does he know that "We The People" don't know?  When asked about any of his controversial ideologies, he grins as if to say, "I don't care what you think, or how you feel, things will be done according to my dictates, one way or the other."  An air of confident arrogance surrounds this man, as no other I've seen in my 63 years.  

  Has Barack Obama tapped into some secret, some diabolical secret knowledge that assures him of success in all he does, regardless of how evil it may be?  Does he know that there are enough voters that have fallen under his spell, that re-election doesn't pose a threat in his mind?  How else is he able to tell lie after lie and get away with them?  It appears his confidence grows with every day, the more lies he tells, the more times he is given a pass.  There is something evil, not only in the things he says, but in the things he does, and even more so, in the way he pulls the wool over the eyes of even the savviest of journalists and talk show hosts.  With the exception of Mark Levin, and at times Rush Limbaugh, most commentators unknowingly hand Obama a pass.  Even after three years of lies and deceptions from Obama and his staff of minions, very few people actually recognize the fact that YES, Obama does realize what he is doing!  Not only does realize what he is doing, but he planned to do these things, and tell these lies all along.  The man has no fear of being held accountable for his actions, and that is the one attribute about Obama that concerns me the most.  

  Every time Obama walks onto a stage, whether it be the podium in the Oval Office, the stage on Jay Leno, or even on one of his so-called campaign stops, the title of a movie comes to my mind;  "Something Wicked This Way Walks".  Obama for some strange reason has an uncanny control over those who work for him, and even those who profess to oppose him.  Obama's presence in the face of his enemies turns them to jello.  Not having met Obama face to face, I have no idea what these people feel when Obama is around.  I can guess however, that a feeling of at least limited helplessness encompasses them.  Obama's captivating aura seems to throw all of his opposition into kind of a stupor.  

  In this Obama/Sibelius attack on not only the Catholic religion, but all religions and charitable organizations for that matter, is a prime example of Obama's confidence.  Even though VP Joe Biden and Obama's former Chief of Staff warned him about the ramifications of forcing religious affiliated organizations into covering the cost of contraceptives, including the morning after pill, and sterilization procedures of their respective employees and knowing full well that these things were directly contrary to the beliefs of the Catholic Church, Obama ignored the warnings, and executed the mandate requirement.  This mandate of course has grown into a huge controversy as to the Constitutionality of Obama's order.    The mandate itself is unquestionably unconstitutional as it plainly goes against more than one stipulation of the 1st Amendment.  Did Obama know this?  Of course he did, and he still does.  Understanding Obama, is relatively simple when one takes into consideration that he has no respect for the U.S. Constitution, and that this isn't the first time he's done something that is unconstitutional.  He knows that he can get away with imposing his will, regardless of it's constitutional accountability, because, simply put, no one holds Obama accountable for anything.  Not congress, not his cabinet, not the media, not the military, no one.

  I know that I've said this before, but, I'd be remiss if I failed to reiterate, "Obama is well aware of what he is doing, and saying.  Obama knows that there will be controversy and adverse reaction to the things he does.  He doesn't do things for the same purpose as other folks.  He perpetrates an action, not for purpose of the act, but for the "reaction".  In this action where he is being accused, and rightly so, for attacking the Catholic Church and the 1st Amendment, it's a prime example.  Obama couldn't care less about contraceptives, abortions, or even morning after pills.  He couldn't care less that his mandate is unconstitutional.  His intention is to divide people, and to continue the chaos.  Don't think for a moment that Obama isn't aware that many Catholics have been using contraceptives for years.  Many Catholics are just like the Secular folks in America's population, they feel entitled to receive insurance paid access to those contraceptives, regardless of what the church doctrine dictates.  So, in this mandate, he will manage to divide the Catholics against themselves.  It is true that as of this moment most all Catholics are up-in-arms, but remember it was a huge Catholic vote that helped put Obama in the White House in the first place.  It should be noted that at the time of his election in 2008, everyone, including the Catholics and many other Christian denominations, knew full well that Barack Hussein Obama was pro-abortion and pro-Gay.  So, I have to ask, how long do you think Obama's Catholics will actually hold the grudge?  Not long, in my opinion!  It won't be long before Obama runs out of everyone

else's money, and when that happens, the "gravy train" will come to a screeching halt.

  I strongly urge all leaders of the many religious denominations to take a stand with the Catholic church and with "We the People" in opposing Obama's assault on the 1st Amendment.  If Obama succeeds in causing the Catholic church to cave on this issue, the other denominations will fall like rusty old lawn chairs.  Keep in mind however, that Obama is holding all the trump cards.  Even though the Catholic church is extremely unhappy with Obama's mandate, the Pope will not instruct his church to "not vote for Barack Obama in 2012."  Neither will the Protestant denominations for that matter.  Like I said, Obama holds the trump card over all of them.  It's called the "Tax Exempt" card.  Unless the Catholics and the Protestants are willing to throw off that slavery yoke, not one church leader, be it Pope, Bishop, Elder, Pastor or Deacon will speak against Obama by name, or encourage the people to vote for a good Conservative Christian candidate.  The fear of losing the "tax-exempt" status is too strong.  Make no mistake, should a Pastor, Preacher or Priest speak political rhetoric from the pulpit, Obama will play the trump card on those who oppose him.

  I have deep concerns as you well know, that Barack Obama will not give up the reins of control without a fight.  Do not be surprised if he finds a way to keep power.  Whether it be with congress or without congress, Obama is a dictator, and he feels he has the right to be where he is, doing what he's doing.  His "in your face" attitude will not stop at election time.  It can't happen in the United States, you say?  If I'd have told on 9/12/2001 that today in 2012 the American people would be inviting the enemy to live amongst them, you would have told me I was crazy.  By order of Obama, you can't even call them enemy.  Think about it!!!

WE'RE UNDER ATTACK, MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT!!!

  Since this nation's founding, over two centuries ago, Atheists along with Communists and Marxists, and now Progressives have been secretly chipping away at the very foundation of America.
The United States of America born from an ideal that all men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  In the first amendment of the Constitution, our founding fathers saw to that Americans were to have freedom of religion, and that the government could not establish a religion, nor infringe upon the free exercise there of.  Today, in this, the year of our Lord 2012, the government of the United States through President Barack Hussein Obama has decided that infringement on freedom of our religion is now required.  A direct violation of the U.S. Constitution and unlawful in every way, the President of the United States is attempting to dictate policy and exact rules upon religious denomination, and especially that of Christian denominations.  Barack Obama, through Kathleen Sibelius is telling the Catholic Church that they must provide abortion services at their charitable hospitals, they must pay for health care services containing abortion, contraception, sterilization and morning after abortion medication.  All of these are contrary to what the Catholic Church has believed, teaches and adheres to.  Basically, the government now sees fit to dictate church doctrine, undermine belief structure, and force Catholics to violate their consciences.  Catholic hospitals have been given a year to find a way to ignore the religious convictions of their doctors, nurses and other hospital staff, who vehemently believe that these practices are sinful.  The government, if not already, will enforce the same rule on all religious run charitable institutions, under penalty of fines, and even incarceration of those in charge.
   Make no mistake, this government encroachment into religious organizations has absolutely nothing to with abortion, contraception or sterilization practices and procedures.  It does however, have everything to do with control, and dismantling religion, especially Christian religions in this country.  The attack on Catholics is just beginning.  As I mentioned earlier, the chipping away at America's very foundation began almost as soon as the nation's emergence as a free country, with freedom of religion as one of it's primary tenets.
  This President has been the most outspoken anti-Christian president this nation has ever had.  He is also the most hypocritical, as he professes to also be a Christian.  Needless to say he shows no outward signs of being Christian.  He also touts his understanding of the Constitution, while at the same time shredding it beyond recognition.  It is Obama's intention to fundamentally change America, and eliminating Christianity, religion, worship and God from all public places is just part of the change he has in mind.  Obama listens to a man named Cass Sunstein, his regulatory Czar.  Sunstein is co-author of a book titled "Nudge".  In essence, the book is a tutorial on how to control masses of people, by simply nudging them in the direction you wish them to go.  Subtle changes, as in this case with the Catholics being given a mandate.  It's not the mandate itself, it's what will happen when and if the Catholics actually cave in to Obama's mandate.  The entire scenario has to do with results, not necessarily actions or reactions.  If the Catholics should find a way to appease the President on this mandate, it's not the mandate that is victorious, it's Obama.  The terms of the mandate imposed on the Catholic church are irrelevant in comparison to the psychological victory Obama will attain over them.  The Catholic church is by all accounts the largest of all organized religious Christian denominations.  The Catholic church is also a church that pretty much controls it's members through doctrine.  If Obama can attain even a modicum of victory over the Pope and the Bishops, he has "nudged" the entire church in the direction he wants them to go.  If he can undermine the Catholic Church's principles and ethics even just a minute amount, in time he knows that they will be vulnerable and eventually fall under his dominion.  As the Catholic Church goes, so goes the other denominations, one at a time, like dominoes.  Do not be lulled into a false sense that Obama is not that powerful, because he is, believe me.  He is not accomplishing this calculated demise of organized denominational religion on his own.  For decades, infiltrators have made their way into the inner-sanctum of virtually every religious denomination from Catholic to Baptist, from Methodist or Presbyterian.  There are priests, ministers, and pastors who have been awaiting the rise of a Socialist regime in America, and now they have one.  The Atheists and the Communists, Fascists, and Progressives will not let this chance to establish a very far left government in America go by.  
  If it is not already to late to bring down this treasonous shadow government, it can at least be slowed.  We have three things that must be done:  One, is to have all religious denominations cast aside their differences in doctrine, and take a stand, (regardless of the consequences), together against this tyrannical government that has taken a foothold in our nation.  Not on every issue of doctrine, but primarily on government dictates into religion as a whole.  You've heard of "just say no", well that's what the churches must do at all cost, "JUST SAY NO!!!"  All churches must stand shoulder to shoulder and strongly against any unconstitutional mandate that this administration tries to impose.  Number two, this election, if in fact it is free and fair, all conservative Christians and anyone else who is a constitutionalist must vote conservative.  The election of a conservative President, and congress, Senate and House will send a message to the far left liberal/Socialist Progressives, that we love America the way it was, and we're taking it back.  Number three, pray, pray and pray some for the Lord's divine intervention.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN; THE ARROGANT REVEREND BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

The Reverend Obama Presiding Over the National Prayer Breakfast Feb. 2012

Jesus would want us to tax the wealthy.  After all, did Jesus not tell his disciples to "sell all they have and then give to the poor?"  Did Jesus not say " for unto whom much is given, much shall be required."?  (Don't you just love it when someone whose entire knowledge of the Holy Bible, comes from some atheist hack speech writer who loaded it in the teleprompter, starts quoting scripture?)  Well, that is exactly what Obama did yesterday morning as he presided over a National Prayer Breakfast.  Once again he professed himself to be a Christian, at the same time supporting the murder of thousands of innocent unborn babies.  He pretends to be a Christian while at the same time, he is mandating that the Catholic Church abandon it's principles and it's religious beliefs regarding contraception and abortion.  He professes to be a Christian, while at the same time he praises Islam and Muhammad, and vilifies the Christians and Jews around the globe, and in his own country.

  Obama said this:  When I talk about shared responsibility, it's because I genuinely believe that in a time when many folks are struggling and at a time when we have enormous deficits, (who caused those enormous deficits?  No, it wasn't G.W. Bush!)  it's hard for me to ask seniors on fixed income or young people with student loans or middle-class families who can barely pay the bills to shoulder the burden alone."   Really???  Now I can understand seniors on fixed income having a problem, but young people with student loans not shouldering their responsibility, there, I see a problem.  When I borrowed, I paid back, all of it, with interest to boot.  When I see that in my own state of Tennessee there are literally hundreds of unpaid student loans from people who graduated college years ago, I just get angry.  The worst part is that many of these unpaid student loans are from doctors and dentists who practice medicine and earn upwards of $200,000.00 a year, live in huge homes and still owe the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.  I apologise for the rant, and beg your indulgence.  Back to Obama the hypocrite.  Obama continued his speech with the following:  "And I think to myself, if I'm willing to give something up as somebody who's been extraordinarily blessed and give up some tax breaks that I enjoy, I actually think that's going to make some economic sense."  (Now there's a hypocritical statement if ever I've heard one.  The Obama administration villifies men like Mitt Romney because he's been financially successful, without mentioning that Mitt Romey over the years, has given 15% of his income to charity and tithes to his church.  I guess Barack forgot to mention that he and Michelle gave all of 1% (one) to charity, according to their tax returns.  Maybe they have good excuses, like greens fees have gone up, or I had to pay for those $1000.00 shoes?  

  Just between me and you Barack, when Jesus told his disciples to sell all they have, he didn't say give the proceeds to Ceasar, did he?  No, he said and give to the poor.  When Jesus said "for unto whom much is given, much shall be required."  He wasn't saying that wealthy people should pay more in taxes.  He was saying that God has blessed you greatly, and you should share your grest blessings.  Jesus wasn't telling the government to tax the wealthy till they bleed, and then chose to whom the money should go.  Somehow I seriously doubt that Jesus would be in favor of taxing the rich so that the government could squander the money on useless projects, i.e., Solyndra for example.

  You can refer to Barack Obama any way you'd like.  I prefer Hypocrite and Chief, Liar and Thief, or even Traitor to His Nation.  In my opinion, this president is an apostate of Satan himself, and he surrounds himself with like men and women.  George Soros, Nancy Pelosi, Valerie Jarrett, Harry Reid, Eric Holder, William Ayers, and a host of others, all of whom I feel must already owe their souls to the devil.  

  Four more years of this White House demon, and our nation will not be recognizable to us and the world.  If we as Christians ever had a second chance, it will be the upcoming 2012 presidential election.  I pray we take this blessing from God, and use it to help turn this nation back into the Christian principled nation it once was.

THE UNETHICAL HARVEST AND INVOLUNTARY EUTHANASIA

  Certainly, we're at the threshold of a new and frightening lack of morality and it's lacking in Bio-Ethics.  After the things I've read, it appears to me that there are few ethics left in the study of bio-ethics.

  When one considers that the word "ethic" commonly has the definition "a principle of right or good conduct or a body of such principles."  I would have thought it safe to assume that the term "Bio-ethic" would be related to something good and moral, it appears my assumption was/is wrong.  The science of the study of Bio-ethics can be quite immoral, or void of morality all together.

  How many of us have ever heard of the "The Dead Donor Rule"?  Not many I assure you.  Allow me to back up a couple steps. 
  Two bioethicists, one from Duke University and another from the National Institute of Health have brought up the question "What makes killing wrong?"  Utilizing their definition of killing, these to men conclude if the person is "universally and irreversibly disabled" and has "no abilities to lose" then killing that person in order to harvest their organs to possibly save the lives of others, should not be considered morally wrong.  Walter Sinnot Miller, professor of ethics at (Duke) and Franklin Miller from the NIH Department of Bioethics have made this statement:  "What makes an act of killing morally wrong is not that the act causes loss of life or consciousness but rather that the act causes loss of all remaining abilities."  It is their argument that if no abilities remain then the "dead donor rule," which is the ethical practice that a person must be declared dead before removing vital organs, should apply to patients whose hearts have stopped and are being removed from a respirator.  Currently, under the "Dead Donor Rule" patients who are not brain-dead but who are undergoing and orchestrated withdrawal of life support are monitored for the onset of cardiac arrest.  In typical protocols, patients are pronounced dead 2-5 minutes after the onset of asystole (on the basic of cardiac criteria), and then their organs are removed as quickly as possible for transplantation.  One small problem, nearly everyone agrees that many patients could be resuscitated after an interval of 2 to 5 minutes, advocates of this approach to donation say that these patients can be regarded as dead because a decision has been made not to attempt resuscitation. 
  "The "Dead Donor Rule" is routinely violated in the contemporary practice of vital organ donation.  If traditional medical ethics were applied, this type of vital organ donation would have to cease immediately."  This outcome would, however, be extremely harmful and unreasonable from an ethical point of view [because patients who could be saved will die].  In other words there are two ethical points, if one is violated, the other suffers the consequences, and vice-versa.  That puts the medical community and the organ donation program in quite the pickle.  Curtailing the the vital organ donation harvesting practice would result in a severe reduction of vital organ transplants.  The bottom line question as I see it, is this question:  Is a person dead when his heart stops, or when his brain ceases to function?  Morally, in my opinion of course, a person should not be declared dead unless both heart and brain function have stopped.  However the absence of any brain function for a reasonably extended period of time might also be considered death, but that becomes a very serious ethical question.  That, being said is my opinion, these two bioethicists have a different idea, they wish to remove "pickle" by simply obviating what is now the norm against killing.  They put it this way:  "If killing were wrong just because it is causing death or the loss of life, then the same principle would apply with the same strength to pulling weeds out of a garden.  If it is not immoral to weed a garden, then life as such cannot really be sacred, and killing as such cannot be morally wrong." 
  In my opinion, both of these guys need to be straight-jacketed and put away for a long long time.  Killing is morally wrong, both from a religious stand point, and yes, from an ethical stand point.  Just because science is not happy with the stigma of being called killers for harvesting organs too soon, doesn't give them the right to basically change the definition of killing.  Killing is killing regardless of what you change it's definition to.  Once again I am taken back to a quote from C.S. Lewis.  "One can no more deny the existence of God, than a lunatic can put out the sun by scrawling the word darkness on the walls of his cell."  I hope I remembered that quote correctly, if not we'll call it paraphrase and I will assume that you understand the gist of what I am trying to convey.
   Due to the amount of legal scrutiny in the West, i.e., America, and Canada and other civilized countries like the UK.  The amount of organ donations have been quite limited, which of course explains why so many transplant patients die while still on the waiting list for a donor match, especially in the kidney category.  This of course results in the propagation of another very serious ethical matter.  This story goes even deeper and grows more disgusting.  It has been reported in the Daily Mail that women in the Ukraine are being paid to get pregnant and have abortions to create stem cells for use in "beauty treatments"; the BBC reported the practice might even include infanticide.  Poor women in India are renting their wombs to rich women for gestation, and some Westerners are buying Indian IVF embryos because it is cheaper than having them made at home.  (The above information was taken from an article written by Wesley J.   The world today is faced with many ethical questions, as science makes huge strides and medicine becomes more exact.  It is important to remember the moral aspect of ethics, which is sometimes abandoned in the name of expediency.  We have a moral obligation to question the ethics of science and medicine as well as a legal obligation, to try and stop things that well....just don't feel right.  God, is our refuge and our strength, He has also provided a guide for our moral direction.  That guide is the Holy Bible, and prayer for guidance from the Lord in all things will guide us, as well the scientists stay on the narrow path.  I urge everyone to seek the Lord's guidance in everything we do.  I urge prayer for Doctors and Scientists and Ethicists that they would also seek the Lord's guidance.  "Morality is the core of what keeps ethics, ethical."
  One more thing:  If you have a living will, you may want to stipulate that you'd like to be resuscitated at least once, prior to letting them you go.  Just a thought...
