Christians have many ways to celebrate the birth of Christ, one being, the display of the Nativity Scene. If you should pass by a public display of the Nativity, please stop in and thank the proprietor for their courage. Tell them you enjoy the display, and respect them for putting it out, where all can see it. Pray with them before you leave. Christian's need to encourage other Christians.

The Fifth Day Of Christmas

On the Fifth Day Of Christmas, My True Love gave to me: FIVE GOLD RINGS

The Five Gold Rings represent the first five books of the Old Testament, known as the Torah or the Pentateuch: 1) Genesis, 2) Exodus, 3) Leviticus, and 4) Deuteronomy, which gives the history of humanity's sinful failure, and God's response of Grace in the creation of a people to be a light to the world.

The Christmas Holiday has been usurped of late, mostly due to marketing, and commercialism. The other thief, is multiculturalism. The proponents of multiculturalism contend that every holiday, regardless of origin and or Faith, should have an equal and like kind of holiday. It's sort of like: Every action has a equal and opposite reaction. Christian's have Christmas, so in turn, Jews need to have Hanukkah, Afo-Americans, must have Kwanzaa, Muslims must have Ramadan, and everybody must celebrate each one, as if it were their own, except Christmas, for some reason. It's only fair, and no one gets left out, right? If I were of the Jewish Faith, I would certainly celebrate Hanukkah, and if I were Afro-American, I would celebrate Kwanzaa, maybe, but if I were a Black Christian, I would celebrate Christmas, as well as Kwanzaa, as the two holidays are not relative to each other. If I were Muslim, I would certainly take part in Ramadan, but, I wouldn't celebrate Christmas, or Hanukkah. The two holidays aren't even remotely connected, just as Islam, and Christianity, and Judaism are not of the same belief. They are about as close as three bb's in a boxcar. So, what's the point? The point is, Christmas is a Christian Holiday, it is, 100% Christian. If you celebrate Christmas, it is imperative that you know, it is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world according to Christian believers. It is NOT anything else, and can not be construed as anything else, no matter what any politician says. Multiculturalist Nations can not stand. "Tolerance is the final virtue of a doomed society", make no mistake, that is a true statement.

If you are a Christian, as I am, do not allow anyone, of any other Faith, or anyone of absolutely NO Faith diminish our Christmas. It is, what it is! We, as Christians have a right to celebrate it!!! There is a God, He reigns, and Jesus Christ was born, and lived, and was crucified and died for our sins, and the sins of all mankind. Jesus open the gates of paradise through His ultimate sacrifice. He said: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father except through Me."

The Fourth Day Of Christmas

On the Fourth Day Of Christmas, my True Love gave to me: Four Calling Birds. The four calling birds represent the four Gospels: 1) Matthew, 2) Mark, 3) Luke, and 4) John. These four Gospels proclaim the good news of God's reconciliation of the world to Himself in Jesus Christ.

On December 14, 2009, this headline on FoxNews: "Indiana School Removes "Allah" From Holiday Show After Protests." Personally, I'm glad that a national Christian Group protested the school program's phrase that said "Allah is God". Allah is not God, although the Islamic nation would have you believe that. Shariq Siddiqui the director of The Muslim Alliance said " the decision to remove the phase was not being inclusive." Being inclusive was of course the goal of the elementary school in Fishers, Indiana. I think the real point is this, the school, in it's attempt to be once again "politically correct" seriously interfered with their common sense. This is a phenomenon happening all across the United States. Political Correctness, has become a sickness, a sickness that removes any traditional ways of thinking. It is really stifling common sense, and clear thinking, for fear of offending everyone and anyone. The liberal leaders want all things to be generic, especially if it has something to do with being Caucasian, or Christian, or straight in sexual preference.

The school said, that they were attempting to teach inclusiveness through this second grade program. Teaching inclusiveness is of course a worthwhile endeavor, however, there are limits to inclusiveness, and situations where inclusiveness can not be accomplished. The mixing of Christmas with any other holiday is a perfect example. Christmas is a Christian Holiday, it has no relationship to Hanukkah, Ramadan, or Kwanzaa. Just as Hanukkah certainly should not be akin to the month of Ramadan, at least not in the same school program. A minimum of research will tell you that Hanukkah is the celebration of the Jewish Army victory over the Syrians, which by the way are Islamic in their Faith. Remember, Islam in general wants to see Israel wiped from the face of the map. One would assume that educators at a school, even an elementary school might have realized that distinct connection. Kwanzaa, what is Kwanzaa? It is a made up holiday, and has absolutely no religious connotations. It was devised by Dr. Maulana Karenga a professor at California State University as recently as 1966. Once again, no relation to Christmas, although it is celebrated December 26 through January 1, each year. Ramadan, an Islamic month of fasting, and celebrates the month where Muhammad received the first of the Koran's revelations. It's celebration dates require calculation according to the Islamic calendar, so celebration dates each year can be varied. Once again, it has absolutely no relation to the Christmas Holiday. Islam considers Christians, Jews, atheists, and anyone who is not of the Islamic Faith "INFIDELS" , that need to be converted to Islam, or be eliminated. No Christmas connection or Christian influence there.

CHRISTMAS, is a holiday (holy day), unique to Christians around the globe. It is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, our Saviour. It is not in any way shape or form akin to Holy Days of any other Faith, and especially not Islamic. If a school wishes to have a program depicting Ramadan, or Kwanzaa, or Hanukkah for that matter, it should not be, under any circumstances done in conjunction with Christmas. Christmas, is Christmas, and it is nothing else, and it needs nothing else. All the political correctness in the world, can not make Christmas anything other than the celebration of our Saviour's birth. A Christian holiday, period.

The Third Day Of Christmas

ON THE THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMAS, My Truelove gave to me, three French Hens. The three French hens represent the Three Theological Virtues: 1) FAITH, 2) HOPE, 3) LOVE. (1 Corinthians 13:13)
In these days, we are faced with so much uncertainty, hopes can be stifled by the state of the economy. Love, many of us love our country but we fear our government. Our Faith, however, can not be shaken. Jesus came to earth, He made the ultimate sacrifice for us, all of us. Isn't it wonderful to know that Jesus has made the gift of salvation available to all mankind? All we need to do is accept it. Christmas is a time that should be filled with Faith, Hope, and Love. It can be, if we all remember the true reason for the season. What our country needs most, is to place God back in His rightful place in our society, at the top. Even as our government tries every way possible to remove God, we must keep Him in our hearts and minds. We must encourage a new revival, and we must remember that through it all, God is in control. If that thought doesn't fill your hearts with Joy this season, I don't know what will. God Bless You All, don't forget to wish everyone you meet a Very Merry Christmas, even if they don't want to hear it. Pray for the conversion of Islam.

(Important to keep in mind, that the Twelve Days of Christmas explanation, are in fact theoretical in nature, there is no historical proof that the song depicts any accuracy, but the symbolism is good. In my minds eye, if it isn't factual, it should be.)

The Second Day of Christmas

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me, two turtle doves: THE TWO TURTLE DOVES REPRESENT THE OLD, AND NEW TESTAMENTS, WHICH TOGETHER BEAR WITNESS TO GOD'S SELF-REVELATION IN HISTORY AND THE CREATION OF A PEOPLE TO TELL THE STORY OF GOD TO THE WORLD.

We as Christians, are urged to relay the word of God to those yet to be saved. It is our responsibility, and our obligation to bring as many of the lost back into the arms of Christ. Only those that are born again in Christ will spend eternity in heaven. We are only human, we can not save, but we can and should plant the seed of our Faith at every opportunity. Live by example, love one another, and spread the Word of God to all we meet.

Jesus said: " I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through Me". All through the year, our Christianity should be expressed in all we say and do, not just at Christmas or Easter. Teach your children about the wonderment of God, the birth of our Saviour, and the gift of salvation.

Twelve Days of Christmas

The Twelve Days of Christmas: Many churches, and Christians think that the Twelve Days of Christmas, are the twelve days leading up to Christmas Day. If that were accurate, then today December 13th would in fact be the 1st day of Christmas, and someone would be obligated to give you a gift of a partridge in a pear tree. Unfortunately, the twelve days leading up to December 25th, are not the "Twelve Days of Christmas". The more accurate accounting is that the First day of Christmas is December 25, the birthday of our Saviour Jesus Christ. The following 12 days leading up the Epiphany are the true twelve days, in some cultures, this includes the day of the Epiphany, January 6th. It really all depends on where you derive your historic facts. The Epiphany is the arrival of the Three Kings to the stable in Bethlehem, bearing the three gifts, gold, frank incense, and Myrrh. There are some Christian cultures that do not exchange Christmas gifts until the Feast of the Three Kings (Epiphany), as that is where the gift giving tradition actually began. In other Christian cultures, a gift is given on each day from Dec. 25th through Jan. 6th. Hence, the Twelve Days of Christmas Song. There is a theory that the song itself was somewhat of a secret code, and was taught to the children of Christian families during the 16th century religious wars in England. It was to preserve Christian Faith, as sort of a mnemonic device to teach catechism to the youngsters. The reference to "My True Love", was not a human lover, instead, it was "God". The "me", is the receiver of the gift, and represents all baptised Christians. Each of the twelve "days", represents some aspect of the Christian Faith that was important for the children to learn. This entire theory has been subject to debunking, but the final answer, may never be known, there is no proof that this theory is accurate and true, and then again there is no proof, that it is not. Interesting, isn't it?
With the world in turmoil, and our freedoms, and liberties hanging in the balance these days, it is important for us to remember that God gave us His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. We celebrate Jesus' birthday and we call it Christmas. Beginning today, I will post each of the twelve days for us to observe, and what the Christian significance of each day is, that way, when December 25th comes, we can begin our twelve days Christmas, as taught in the 16th century. December 25th, the 1st day of Christmas: THE PARTRIDGE IN THE PEAR TREE IS JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD, WHOSE BIRTHDAY WE CELEBRATE. CHRIST IS SYMBOLICALLY PRESENTED AS A MOTHER PARTRIDGE THAT FEIGNS INJURY TO DECOY PREDATORS FROM HER HELPLESS NESTLINGS, RECALLING THE EXPRESSION OF CHRIST'S SADNESS OVER THE FATE OF JERUSALEM: Jerusalem! Jerusalem! How often would I have sheltered you under my wings, as a hen does her chicks, but you would not have it so..." (Luke 13:34)
I hope that you will all stay with me through these next twelve days. Pray for our country, and beginning today, I personally will start praying for the conversion of Islam. I will present this to the pastor of my church, that beginning today we as Christians pray for Islam to be converted to Christianity, as only that conversion will begin the start of Peace On Earth.
